| One of the great
paradoxes is that there are some things that an omnipotent God cannot
do.
I'm not talking about the kind
of pointless mental gymnastics that cynical philosophers have used for
centuries to try to disprove God. Like: How can an omnipotent God make a
stone He can't lift? First, we don't understand all we know about God
and we can't know all there is to know about God with only human
understanding. Second, this exercise helps no one. (Someone said he
didn't know of any hospitals named after atheists.)
Rather, the basis of this
series of lessons is this: God has established a divine order which He
will not violate. Here are several aspects of that order that I hope
will give us a better understanding of the nature of God and our
relationship to Him.
With all my heart,
