Thanksgiving
Letter |

Dear
Friends at the Pond:
I wanted to take a moment out of this busy week to express my
thanks for some of the blessings of this past year. The past
few months have been extremely eventful - for all of us
as a nation, and for some of us on a more personal level.
I hope you have the opportunity sometime this week (between
vacuuming the house and getting that pie in the oven)
to reflect on all of life's blessings. I will try to do
the same.
First of all I am thankful to God for the unfailing love that
he showed to us through his Son, Jesus Christ.
I am thankful for the tremendous opportunity I've had this year
to share with many of you at The Lilly Pond web site.
I am thankful for you, my readers and subscribers, who have written
me notes of joy, sorrow, blessing and heartache, and
allowed me to come into your hearts and lives with my responses.
I am thankful that I've (at last!) been able to fulfill a life-long
dream of writing and completing a book. It's called
"Always Wear Clean Underwear" and I think you'll enjoy
it. It's for sale on the shopping
page. (If that sounded like a commercial, it's
because it was!)
I am thankful for my family - especially my brother, Bob, who
has tackled all the technical devices of The Lilly Pond and
has been successful in getting my writings out to you. And
also for my friend and step-mom, Linda, who is coming to
my house and is going to make the dressing for our
dinner on Thursday. (Hooray!)
I am thankful for all the good things that have happened this
year. But since God instructs us - in everything give thanks
- then I also have to thank Him for the things that have
been frustrating, hard and even painful. Because those are
the things that draw me closer to His side, and make me seek
His face.
My prayer is that each of you will have a Blessed
Thanksgiving. No matter what is going on in your life right now,
I hope that you will be able to find God's blessings in
your life and give thanks.
With all my heart,
Lillian
