Are
you a daughter or a mother?
Or maybe even both. Perhaps you've lost
your mother or even a child.
This website is
for you. It's
all about mother-daughter relationships and the variations on that theme.
Step-mother, step-daughter, grandmother, granddaughter, mother-in-law,
daughter-in-law and all the combinations.
What
you'll find here. This
website is a work in progress with a variety of resources developed
from my education in psychology, my work as a professional
counselor, feedback from participants at my seminars, and my
experiences with my own mother and
daughters. More about my credentials here.
You'll
find features and articles
in response to your questions or taken from my seminars to specifically address the needs
of daughters, mothers and most difficult of all, daughters who've lost
their mothers.
As
I've matured, I've found myself remembering more of the stories and
using more of the lessons I learned from my mother.
Her only mission in life was to help people. So this site is dedicated to her with the prayer that it
will help me to do the same.
I'll
share some of my mother's stories and lessons and publish yours in my
ezine called, amazingly, The Lilly Pond. It's free and it's a great way
for you to stay up to date on the exciting things we'll be adding to the
site. Sign up for your free subscription.
Send me your
story and you can help uplift others.
Join
in a discussion in the forum we call Pond
Talk. Please leave me your
comments in the guest book. If you have
specific questions, contact me by email.
I'll respond in the Features
and Articles area for
everyone's benefit. And we can have some fun along the way.
When I
present
this topic in live seminars I know that most everyone is thinking, "You are going to talk about me
getting along with MY
mother? Well, good luck!"
Of
course, a healthy mother-daughter relationship doesn't come through luck
or magic. It's hard work and there are no guarantees. But this
relationship is worth the effort.
We have
good tools to work with. We have the love and concern of many different
women who want to help others. And most of all, we have God's Holy
Spirit to guide us on this path.
I
wish the best for you and my prayer is that you will find what you need
right here.
With
all my heart,
Lillian
